Binghamton, N.Y. – The Guthrie Clinic, today, celebrated the beginning of a new era in quality health care in the Binghamton community, with the unveiling of Guthrie Lourdes Hospital and all associated facilities, officially welcoming all affiliated caregivers and offices into the Guthrie family – this includes Lourdes Health & Fitness.
Following months of planning, all Lourdes services, facilities, providers, and caregivers are now part of the Guthrie Clinic. With this addition, Guthrie has nearly 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers serving 29 communities in Pennsylvania and New York.
The corporate name, brand identity, and logo were updated to reflect the system’s latest brand identity and its strong commitment to community wellness.
“Even though our logos are changing, our dedication to delivering unparalleled services and amenities has not wavered. What we stand for–our expertise in providing a personalized approach to fitness and wellness–will not change,” said Kathy Connerton, Chief Executive Officer of Lourdes Hospital.
Connerton explains that we’ve known that being physically active is beneficial for mental health and preventing or slowing many diseases, including heart disease, cancer, and dementia. Lourdes Health & Fitness continues to provide the community the ability to reach their fitness and wellness goals both comfortably and safely.
Connerton went on to say that we are proud to carry the name of such a prestigious health system, as we both recognize that it is essential to take a preventive and holistic approach to the community’s health outside the walls of a hospital. The Guthrie Clinic’s mission is to transform health care, and part of this mission is creating innovative ways to bring preventive health resources to the community, and this center is at the forefront.
