Who we hire

All our personal trainers are CPR/AED certified, with nationally accredited fitness certifications, a four-year bachelor’s degree in exercise science– or both. Some also have earned higher degrees. Most importantly, our trainers are genuinely passionate about helping members achieve their healthiest lives.

WHETHER YOU’RE NEW TO EXERCISE OR A SEASONED FITNESS ENTHUSIAST, OUR NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION maximizes your experience.

Your first appointment is focused on goal-setting and completing simple fitness assessments, including a functional movement screening to determine how best to create your program. Your second appointment is designed to introduce you to the program created based on the information collected in your first session. After being on a consistent program for 8 weeks, you and your trainer will have a program review. These reevaluation appointments continue every 8 weeks throughout your membership.

Our trainers’ primary role is to help ensure a safe, welcoming environment so members can excel on the Fitness Floor. All trainers are required to be CPR/AED certified, and to hold a nationally accredited certification or bachelor’s degree in exercise science.

TIER II

Promotion to Tier II level is earned through 72 hours of additional company-offered education, along with a proven client success rate. Typically, Tier II trainers are in high demand.

TIER III

Tier III trainers have thousands of hours of experience under their belt and have the most advanced knowledge with regards to safety, programming methods and coaching skills. They are a leader and mentor trainer to other staff and are not only the top level trainer in the club but also the fitness industry.

TRAINER SPECIALIST

These Tier III trainers also have higher-level degrees or certifications. They can prescribe advanced assessments and programming to further enhance fitness results. Examples include certified health coaches, certified strength and conditioning specialists, USAW Olympic and triathlon coaches, and T.P.I golf specialists, as well as trainers with Master’s degrees and advanced experience with chronic-disease populations.

One on One

Our one-on-one personal training programs are the ultimate way to supplement your membership experience. Ensure you are making effective progress toward your goals in the safest, most efficient way. Your personal trainer will design, and continuously modify, a fitness program based on your specific needs and preferences. As a motivating coach, your personal trainer is invested in you as much as you are.

Lourdes Health & Fitness - Semi Private Personal Training

Semi-Private

Semi-private training allows two individuals with similar schedules to share one session of training together. Typically, both participants have similar goals. However, this is not required. Many people train together for the camaraderie. This program combines the individual attention of private training at a reduced cost.

Lourdes Health & Fitness - Small Group Training

Small Group Training (SGT)

Small Group training combines the benefits of a Group Fitness class with the individualized attention of personal training. This hybrid program allows specific attention to form and quick progression through exercises while still maintaining the energy, fun, and social environment of group exercise.

Lourdes Health & Fitness - Aquakinetics Training

Aquatic Personal Training

Aquatic Personal Training will enhance your training experience by customizing your intensity level and utilizing specialized equipment while benefiting from a safe and supportive water environment. Whether you have achy joints, are a performance athlete, or want to tone and lose some weight, this program has everything for you. Training is offered in both private and small group formats.

Lourdes Health & Fitness - Sports Performance

Sports Performance Training

Sports Performance Specialists offer increased testing and programming specific to the athlete across a broad range of sports, competitions and recreation. Their increased specialization is aimed at increasing performance while reducing the risk of injury through advanced assessments and programming.
Virtual Personal Training - LOURDES HEALTH & FITNESS

Virtual Personal Training

Using the Zoom platform, your trainer will coach you through a virtual workout utilizing any available equipment or even using only your bodyweight. It’s like having an in-person, one-on-one session. Virtual training is a great resource to help you stay on track with your fitness and still receive expert guidance and motivation from your Personal Trainer.
Lourdes Health and Fitness - Small Group Training for Golfers

Small Group Training for Golfers

Our Trainer Specialists work with you on golf-specific movements to maximize power and injury prevention when on the golf course. Training is focused on strength, power, flexibility, and mobility through workouts targeting the thoracic spine, hips, wrist, and shoulders.
