Growing up, I was always into fitness. Dancing was my true joy. When I went to college, I continued dancing and started getting involved in weight lifting. After college, I wanted something that would keep me moving. I tried kickboxing and fell in love with it. I realized I wanted to help people find joy in fitness through my fitness journey, so I went back to college for my fitness specialist certificate.

I have worked with Elizabeth since the center opened and am very happy with my progress. I have several physical challenges, including a bad back, bad knees, and permanent neuropathy on the left side.
In my twice-weekly sessions with Elizabeth, she provides training that focuses on the areas needing strengthening while minimizing the possibility of injury. She made me two different routines for strength training and core training that I use on the days that I don’t meet with her, and she gave me a set of exercises using resistance bands that I can use when traveling.
Having scheduled appointments provides much needed accountability, and being challenged to continuously improve without hurting myself is very much appreciated. I am grateful for the help and guidance from Elizabeth and often think I should have started this years ago.

Elizabeth has been instrumental in helping me and my husband become fit and well! We began our journey in January of this year. After walking past the the center for months, saying, “We should check it out sometime”, my husband and I walked in and asked for a tour. After seeing the facility and discussing the various amenities and features of the center, we decided to join! We met with a trainer and a nurse, and within two weeks, we had a workout plan in place. Both of us committed to going to the gym every other day, which we did. Unfortunately, our first trainer moved on from the center, but that’s when we met Elizabeth! She gave us reassessments and developed new individual plans for each of us. We took off from there! My husband has met his weight loss goal, and I am within reach of mine! We both feel invigorated and in shape! One of my goals was to tone my upper arms, and I am well on my way! One of my husband’s goals was to be able to carry our 5-year-old granddaughter with ease; no problem! We have met with Elizabeth every 8 weeks or so. She keeps track of us and contacts us when she feels we are due for a change in our workout plan. It has been a pleasure working with her, and we look forward to continuing our path to health and strength with her guidance!
