Why did you go into Personal Training?
Growing up, I was always into fitness. Dancing was my true joy. When I went to college, I continued dancing and started getting involved in weight lifting. After college, I wanted something that would keep me moving. I tried kickboxing and fell in love with it. I realized I wanted to help people find joy in fitness through my fitness journey, so I went back to college for my fitness specialist certificate.

Over a year ago, I began working with Elizabeth as my Personal Trainer, meeting twice weekly in the early mornings. What started as a commitment to improve my health has transformed into a lifestyle I look forward to—thanks to her guidance, energy, and unwavering support.

Elizabeth is the kind of trainer who goes beyond routines and reps. She is deeply knowledgeable about fitness and strength building, and she brings that expertise to every session. But more than that, she brings a contagious attitude—always upbeat, always encouraging, and genuinely invested in my progress.

Since training with Elizabeth, I’ve experienced tremendous growth. I’ve lost weight, gained noticeable strength, improved my balance, and greatly improved my posture. These changes have also had ripple effects across my life—my coordination has improved, my confidence has soared, and I feel more in tune with my body than ever before.

As an equestrian, these physical improvements have made a real difference in how I feel in the saddle. And now, something I never imagined myself saying—I’ve even started running 5Ks for the first time in a few decades.

Every session with Elizabeth leaves me feeling stronger, empowered, and proud. I wake up early to train with her, not because I have to but because I want to. I always leave our workouts feeling good about myself, and that motivation carries me through the rest of my day.

Working with Elizabeth has been one of the best decisions for my health and well-being. I plan to continue training with her for as long as possible—and I can’t wait to see what new goals we’ll conquer next.

I have worked with Elizabeth since the center opened and am very happy with my progress. I have several physical challenges, including a bad back, bad knees, and permanent neuropathy on the left side.

In my twice-weekly sessions with Elizabeth, she provides training that focuses on the areas needing strengthening while minimizing the possibility of injury. She made me two different routines for strength training and core training that I use on the days that I don’t meet with her, and she gave me a set of exercises using resistance bands that I can use when traveling.

Having scheduled appointments provides much needed accountability, and being challenged to continuously improve without hurting myself is very much appreciated. I am grateful for the help and guidance from Elizabeth and often think I should have started this years ago.

Elizabeth has been instrumental in helping me and my husband become fit and well! We began our journey in January of this year. After walking past the the center for months, saying, “We should check it out sometime”, my husband and I walked in and asked for a tour. After seeing the facility and discussing the various amenities and features of the center, we decided to join! We met with a trainer and a nurse, and within two weeks, we had a workout plan in place. Both of us committed to going to the gym every other day, which we did. Unfortunately, our first trainer moved on from the center, but that’s when we met Elizabeth! She gave us reassessments and developed new individual plans for each of us. We took off from there! My husband has met his weight loss goal, and I am within reach of mine! We both feel invigorated and in shape! One of my goals was to tone my upper arms, and I am well on my way! One of my husband’s goals was to be able to carry our 5-year-old granddaughter with ease; no problem! We have met with Elizabeth every 8 weeks or so. She keeps track of us and contacts us when she feels we are due for a change in our workout plan. It has been a pleasure working with her, and we look forward to continuing our path to health and strength with her guidance!
