I am turning 72 this year and decided that after two decades of no exercise, I need to return to caring for my body. I joined a small group of women that Keenan worked with once a week. The fact that I was able to safely start an exercise program after such a long lapse was entirely due to working with Keenan. Keenan would modify exercises I had problems with due to previous injuries so I could still effectively exercise without injury. Keenan encourages progress without making you feel judged while ensuring you are exercising safely and staying injury-free.

My time working with Keenan has been wonderful. I’m 72, retired from marketing, but an active 72, doing circuit training exercise classes three times a week plus Keenan’s Personal Training. I have/had a few physical issues that he has helped me work on. I had surgery on my elbow to remove bone chips. I couldn’t do much with that arm, so I lost a lot of strength in my left arm. But after the surgery, Keenan worked with me to strengthen my arm and elbow, and now I’m back to doing curls and other exercises like I had before. I also have right hip/leg problems, and again, Keenan has helped me maintain strong leg and hip muscles, which helps me tremendously. Eventually, I may need a hip replacement, but keeping strong muscles has made it possible to avoid that as long as possible. I still walk 3 miles when I can and do other exercises. Keenan is professional and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.

I have attended several of Keenan’s Small Group Training sessions and have seen amazing success at all of them. Keenan does a great job tailoring the group sessions to fit everybody’s needs, and I see improvements in my strength and fitness every week. He is an excellent teacher and takes the time to answer questions, gives examples of proper exercise forms, and helps you make adjustments if needed. A bonus is that everyone in the group is supportive and encouraging of each other. I have made several friends who motivate me to show up every time and work hard.

I started Small Group Training (SGT) with Keenan in January to decrease body fat, increase muscle, and learn proper weight lifting and workout techniques. Keenan has always been positive, encouraging, and patient, especially while teaching me how to safely and effectively perform his workouts. My confidence and knowledge to exercise independently significantly increased thanks to Keenan’s guidance. A recent InBody scan showed that my body fat percentage decreased by 9.2%, my skeletal muscle mass increased by 11.5 lbs, and my visceral fat level decreased from 16 to 11 over the last six months! I look forward to continuing my SGT with Keenan weekly and using the tools I have learned to continue progressing in my workouts!

OMG! Hiring a Personal Trainer has changed my body and soul! I am older than 65 and have been looking for someone who would understand and respect my health goals and personal limits. I felt uncomfortable and apprehensive about trusting someone to respect my needs. Still, I found a friendly, polite, and well-educated trainer certified in the center’s older crowds’ fitness capabilities.
We worked on my lower back pain and sciatica discomfort. It only took two sessions for my trainer, Kennan, to find the right core exercise to eliminate my pain TOTALLY. (I sleep like a newborn now.) I am currently receiving Personal Training from Kennan to help strengthen my knees. What a successful pleasure.

When I first started at the gym, my overall strength and mobility were pretty poor. Thanks to Keenan, I worked my way up from barely being able to do three bodyweight split squats to easily doing 80lb split squats. Not only does he push me to do better, but he also does it at a reasonable pace to ensure I am doing it safely.

A little less than a year ago, I had a wake-up call that I needed to take better care of myself. Fast forward to joining Lourdes Health & Fitness and connecting with my trainer Keenan. He considered that I wanted to be healthier and that I was genuinely intimidated by the gym. He started helping me with a routine, to build my confidence, getting me connected in a fantastic small group, while helping me incrementally build my endurance and strength. I am 67, with a right knee replacement, and I was an avid gym goer until COVID hit. I gained weight during the pandemic and didn’t feel good about myself. I have also been struggling with my knee and cannot easily go up and down stairs. Since training with Keenan three times a week, I have gained muscle definition, been able to go up and down stairs almost normally again, and have lost weight! Keenan is a great trainer. He is an encouraging, lovely young man who works with you to reach your goals. He has made me feel better about myself, and I cannot say thank you enough for all he has done for me in my fitness journey!
